The 9th World Congress on Conservation Agriculture will take place in Cape Town...

ICARDA, together with its esteemed partner, the Food and Agriculture Organization of the UN (FAO), will host a Field Day on July 6, 2024, in the Chimbai district in the Republic of Karakalpakstan in Uzbekistan.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, CGIAR Science Week 2024 had to be postponed. CGIAR is actively working to reschedule the event. We will communicate the new date as soon as it is confirmed, and further updates will be available on CGIAR’s website soon.

On June 3, 2024, the first International Lathyrus Day conference will take place in Ghent, Belgium. As ICARDA has a global CGIAR mandate for improving crops such as lathyrus (also known as grasspea), aiming to provide better on-farm efficiency for smallholder farmers who struggle in hot, water-scarce environments, the event is co-sponsored by ICARDA.

On May 19, 2024, ICARDA is hosting a stakeholder consultation workshop about Egyptian irrigated agriculture at the hotel Holiday Inn Maadi. The event is co-organized by CGIAR's Excellence in Agronomy Initiative.
