ICARDA’s Dr. Shiv Kumar Agrawal is presented with the Excellence Award in the field of Pulses Improvement by the Indian Society of Pulses Research and Development (ISPRD) and ICAR- Indian Institution of Pulses and Research (ICAR-IIPR)

Dr. Aynalem Haile’s work is honored by the Ethiopian Academy of Sciences, a prestigious society of scholars founded in 2010 to promote sciences and bring about development, prosperity, and improved health for the people of Ethiopia.

ICARDA MEL team was chosen as a finalist for the CGIAR Inclusive Team Award – CGIAR's first-ever Inclusive Workplace Awards, recognizing efforts to advance gender equity and support inclusivity in the workplace.

ICARDA's former visiting Ph.D. student, Dr. Damiano Puglisi, has been awarded the Carlo Jucci Prize for Plant Breeding and Biotechnology from the Italian Society of Agrarian Genetics (SIGA).

ICARDA Director General Mr Aly Abousabaa recently met with His Excellency Dr. Nasr El Din Obeid, Director General of the Arab Center for the Studies of Arid Zones and Dry Lands of the Arab League (ACSAD) to discuss future collaboration between the two organizations to enhance agricultural scientific research in the Arab region.
