ICARDA organized in collaboration with the FAO a Training course followed by a field visit on efficient irrigation techniques and rainwater harvesting, funded by the Japanese Government. Moreover, the Japanese consulting firm, Appropriate Agriculture International Co., Ltd. was involved and contributed with its knowledge gained through previous experience in improving irrigation systems in Syria.
