Rangelands in Jordan form around 80% of the land area. Severe land degradation exists due to natural and anthropogenic factors. Restoration attempts to reduce and mitigate rangeland degradation by using the micro-water harvesting techniques coupled with out-planting of native species on hill-slope areas, have been introduced and adopted in Jordan.
