The project aims to identify the contextual features that will affect the viability of interventions with potential to increase climate-resilience of smallholder farmers and pastoralists in the target areas (Northern Governorate of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan) with a wider view to mitigating the impacts if climate change and variability and contributing to the green growth and food security in Jordan.

Goals
Goals of the pre-feasibility study are; -Technical, economic, social feasibility of the proposed interventions -Risks, sustainability and reliability potential of climate-smart interventions -Gaps in climate resilience investments include investment in smart agriculture, sustainable natural resource management, and water harvesting projects -Alignment of the proposed interventions with the GCF's investment criteria
Objectives
The specific objective of the pre-feasibility study is to assess the technical, economic, and social feasibility of potential scientifically proven technologies for the targeted areas. This will be done through in depth primary and secondary data collection and analysis.
Impact pathways
The project will include activities such as literature review and secondary data collection, key informant interviews, semi-structured interviews and focus group discussions.
