This report is a synthesis of concepts, practices and interventions coming from ICARDA’s research with country partners on improving livelihoods, the performance of agricultural production systems and sustainable agriculture in the world’s dry areas. The core of the report comes for the research project Development of conservation cropping systems in the drylands of northern Iraq supported by the Australian Centre for International Agricultural Research (ACIAR) 2008-2011.
