Aly Abousabaa, Director General of ICARDA, will participate in the International Congress of Oases and Date Palm, taking place on 22–23 May 2025 in Ouarzazate, Morocco.

Held under the theme “Resilience and Adaptation of Oasis Ecosystems to Global Changes,” the congress brings together international experts, researchers, and policymakers to explore sustainable solutions for fragile oasis environments.

He will present ICARDA and CGIAR’s vision for transforming deserts and oases into thriving agricultural systems, showcasing innovative agri-solutions to deliver resilient livelihoods in the dry regions.
