Lifetime Achievement Award of the Hindustan Agricultural Research Welfare Society for ICARDA’s Dr. Shiv Kumar Agrawal
ICARDA is delighted to announce that Dr. Shiv Kumar Agrawal, ICARDA’s Head of the Food Legume Research Platform (FLRP) and Regional Coordinator of the ICARDA South Asia and China Regional Program, has received two prestigious awards:
The Hindustan Agricultural Research Welfare Society (HARWS) honoured Dr. Kumar with the Lifetime Achievement Award for his outstanding contributions to plant breeding. The Executive Council of HARWS presented the award at the 5th International Award Ceremony on July 24-25, 2024.
In recognition of his esteemed support as an Advisor during the International Faculty Development Program-cum-Workshop titled “ICAR-Indian Agricultural Educational and Research Model vs. Global Agricultural Educational and Research Model”, Dr Kumar also received the Global Acknowledgement Award. This event held on July 14-20, 2024, was jointly organized by the Cambridge International Agriculture Organization, the Southern Federal University, Russia, the Hindustan Agricultural Research Welfare Society, the ICAR-Central Institute for Research on Goats, the International Maize and Wheat Improvement Center (CIMMYT), and the Gujarat Natural Farming and Science University.
