Egypt’s largest agricultural fair, the Sahara Conference, will be held from September 15 to 17, 2024, in Cairo, with ICARDA as a proud sponsor of this significant event.
Sahara's Technical Conference provides a comprehensive platform for exploring the latest innovations, opportunities, and trends in the agriculture industry. Over three days, it will bring together professionals, pioneers, and delegates to share their insights on topics including investments and trading in Egypt's agriculture sector, sustainable agricultural water management and irrigation systems, agritech and modern agricultural practices, sustainable techniques, and Egypt's greenhouse industry market.
On the conference's first day, September 15, ICARDA will host a workshop focused on “The Challenges Facing Agricultural Water Productivity Improvement in Arid Regions.” Esteemed speakers from the Ministry of Agriculture and Land Reclamation, the Agricultural Research Center Egypt, and ICARDA will participate, with the session moderated by Dr. Mohie El Din Omar. In a session on “ICARDA’s Contribution to Improving Water Productivity for Agricultural Systems in Arid Regions”, Dr. Samar Attaher will present ICARDA's achievements in the agricultural water sector.
