Hoda Abou Younes

Hoda Abou Younes is a Senior Research Assistant in the Seed Systems, International Nurseries and Seed Health team at ICARDA, based in Terbol, Lebanon. She supports the planning, implementation, and coordination of international nurseries, including seed production, crop management, phenological data collection, seed processing, quality control, documentation, and global distribution. Her responsibilities include managing nursery databases, field layouts, trial randomization, and data migration using ICARDA’s breeding and nursery management systems, as well as coordinating logistics with national and international cooperators. She also contributes to the effective management of human, financial, and physical resources to ensure the timely and compliant delivery of high-quality seed to partners worldwide. She is currently pursuing a PhD focused on genomic selection to enhance genetic gains in crop improvement programs.
