World Environment Day Virtual Symposium

On June 5, 2024, the esteemed Green Institute will host the Virtual World Environment Day Symposium, centered around the compelling theme of "Land Restoration, Desertification & Drought Resilience." As an annual event of great importance, this symposium brings together distinguished keynote experts, captivating panel sessions, and paper presentations submitted by participants.

This year, the focus of the event will be on vital topics such as ecological restoration strategies, sustainable water management, climate-resilient agriculture, community empowerment and resilience, as well as policies and governance for sustainable land use. With a resolute commitment to advancing sustainable agriculture practices, ICARDA is thrilled to have Dr. Vinay Nangia, Research Team Leader for Soil, Water, and Agronomy, representing us at this prestigious event. Dr. Nangia's will share his expertise on "Nature-based and unconventional water management solutions for sustainable agriculture" in a presentation in session 2.
